Nick and Debbie met at Oxford Polytechnic (now Oxford Brookes University) in 1987 studying for degrees in Hotel & Catering Management. They then both went on to work in the hospitality industry until they finally decided to run The Bellachroy in 2005.

Nick began his career at the Lygon Arms in Broadway, then subsequently went on to manage various reputable hotels including Leeming House Hotel in the Lake district; The Royal Scotsman Train; The five star award winning and Michelin starred hotel - The Vineyard at Stockcross, and finally General Manager at the original and most renowned country house hotel of all, Sharrow Bay Hotel on Lake Ullswater.

Debbie started in the hospitality industry hands on waiting, bar and Chef / kitchen work. Following graduation she went on to work for various hotel groups such as Hilton, Virgin and Forte Heritage Hotels in the "Country House" hotel market segment as corporate sales and marketing manager. Gradually her career developed more into public relations, incentive sales and event management, planning “product launches”; “golf days”; “ladies day at Ascot” and tailor making reward and incentive programs and prestigious corporate events for many blue chip clients including Audi, Volkswagen, Vodafone, BA and Boots.

They now both enjoy running The Bellachroy and look forward to welcoming you on your next visit.
